Vaccines are a helpful way to strengthen your pet’s immunity and leave them better-equipped to resist or overcome infections. At Amberly Village Veterinary Hospital, we promote pet vaccinations as an important part of preventative medicine and keeping dogs and cats healthier for the long term. However, we are also flexible in our approach and can offer an alternative option for pets that do not respond well to vaccines.

We Offer Titers to Prevent Over-Vaccination

Titers allow us to test your pet to see if they have sufficient antibodies to fight disease. Usually, vaccines are necessary to increase the number of those antibodies so your pet has much greater protection. Regardless, we know that some pets can have harmful reactions to vaccines, and others have the antibodies needed to stay protected naturally. We are always conscious of preventing over-vaccination among our patients.

Dog Vaccines

Core vaccines are often essential to every pet’s health routine due to the severity of the diseases they protect against and are included in our puppy packages. The ones we recommend for dogs include:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper-parvo
  • Canine influenza
  • Bordetella
